McKailey LOVES workbooks (all kinds) so when it wasn't her turn with the IPOD she was working on her workbooks.
Braxton was the one who played the IPOD ANY chance he could get. But we didn't get a picture of that.
We left on Thursday, May 24th in the afternoon and headed to Alex's cousin Sarah in Las Vegas where we crashed for the night. The kids were so excited they had a hard time sleeping. Then we left to Santa Monica pier in the morning. It took us till lunch time to get there. It was a little cold but we were willing to head to the water anyways.
Alie was scared of the water. She wouldn't put her feet in. Eventually she did but it took her a couple of days at the beach to get use to it.
Eventually they did put their swim suit on anyways, since Braxton and McKailey were getting wet anyways. Braxton's favorite thing was to find sand dollars and sea shells in between the waves.
We went to the Santa Monica aquarium and saw lots of cool animals.
Braxton is holding onto Alie real tight- he was sooo scared his little sister was going to fall into the water. Hence why we had to have everyone holding onto Alie so we could have a group picture on the pier :)
On Saturday we made it to Knott's Berry Farm. The sad part was the big roller coaster Braxton wanted to ride-he was to small to ride it and the ride McKailey wanted to ride was closed. That part was sad but we still had an awesome day anyways. We did a bunch of rides together as a family.
Funny story here-we hoped onto our 1st real train! Some robbers came and told us "Hands Up!" as he pointed his fake gun at Alie and I. It scared Alie and she shot her hands up so fast! (Alex and I couldn't help but to laugh a little on that one.)The next day was Sunday so we loaded up the car and headed to church. Then we drove to San Diego and stopped off to visit the temple. Then we headed to La Jolla beach where the kids were kind enough to let me take a picture of them.
The next day was Memorial Day so we headed to Balboa park. I love the awesome architecture on the buildings!
Afterwards we headed to Coronado beach which everyone else decided that was what they wanted to do on the holiday as well. It was a beautiful day with gold looking flakes in the water. Totally awesome! A beautiful day!
